Fresh!
Our farms have expended considerable resources to ensure that our growing and harvesting procedures are practiced using international standards only. Our highly experienced and qualified farmers and farm employees, manage the crops and harvesting processes to ensure only the highest quality bananas are delivered to our customers. Our commitment to life and health & safety standards have been recognised through the numerous certification and awards that have been bestowed upon us by local and global governing bodies. We were the first agricultural entity of any kind in Jamaica to receive the ISO 9000 certification for quality standards, the ISO 14000 certification for environmental standards, the Global Good Agricultural Practices certification, the Tesco Nature’s Choice Gold Standard and the Fair-Trade Standard. At JP St. Mary’s we are focused on delivering natural and locally produced crops. We can proudly say our produce is ‘Fresh from the Farm to you’

Pineapples

Our JP St. Mary's Tropical pineapple is sweeter in taste, has a high vitamin C content and has a longer shelf life. They are 100 % natural and are grown at our farm in St. Mary, Jamaica. While pineapples are a seasonal fruit, JP St. Mary’s plants its pineapple fields strategically, which allows for fruit availability all year round.

Benefits of eating Pineapples

  • Boosts immune system

  • Rich in anti-oxidants

  • Improves circulation

  • Boosts energy level

  • Provides healthy gum and strong bones

  • Regulates blood and sugar levels
Here’s how you should cut a pineapple:
After cutting off the top and the bottom, stand the pineapple up and use a sharp knife to shave off the skin. The sweetest part of a pineapple is its outermost flesh, which means you should slice the skin off the sides as thinly as possible. You’ll notice that the "eyes" all line up in diagonal rows and you can easily cut them out in a small “V”.
Coconuts

While not the core of the JP St. Mary’s fresh produce line, a large supply of coconuts is grown and distributed to hotels and supermarkets island wide.

Our coconuts are full of nutrition and when served ice cold are refreshing!
